One of the most touching moments at last night’s Emmy Awards 2012, held at the Nokia Theater in LA and aired live on ABC, was totally unscripted and unplanned. See it in the video above.

Jimmy Kimmel introduced 51-year-old Michael J. Fox as presenter for the Outstanding Comedy Series category.

It wasn’t a moment that asked for a standing ovation but, it’s a well-known fact, everybody loves Michael: not only has the star been battling Parkinson’s for years, but he’s also reaffirmed his dedication to acting just recently by announcing his return to television with a brand new series.

Before Fox walked on stage, Kimmel joked that he was one of the most unpopular actors in the industry today, which made the spontaneous standing ovation even more touching.

“Steady as a rock,” Fox quipped before announcing the nominees and the winner.
