Emmys 2012: Kat Dennings Dreads Spilling Out of Her Dress

Curves were all the rage on the red carpet at the Emmy Awards 2012. Stunner Kat Dennings was just one of the many female stars who opted for revealing, body-hugging gowns for the awards show, nearly avoiding a wardrobe malfunction.

The “2 Broke Girls” star went for understated glamour in a J. Mendel gorgeous creation that made the most of her ample cleavage.

As Rancic notes in the video below, you could tell from a distance that Kat was dreading a possible wardrobe malfunction by the way she kept pulling at her dress.

“If I stand up too straight, there is a possibility [of a malfunction]. So if I hunch, that’s why,” Kat told Giuliana.

Before that, she explained that she had no other choice for a dress because, no matter what she did, they (her breasts) would always be there, always the same size.

Later in the evening, Kat told reporters that her backup plan was her boyfriend Nick Zano who had “been alerted to the possibility of an emergency.” Luckily, that did not turn out to be the case.

Not the same can be said though about another curvaceous star, “Modern Family’s” own Sofia Vergara, who was also named one of the best dressed women on the red carpet last night and who came thisclose to having her derriere exposed to the world.

As we also reported earlier today, the zip on Sofia’s dress broke. This in itself wouldn’t have been so bad if the zipper hadn’t been precisely on her backside, which meant that, 20 minutes before having to show up on stage, she required some emergency mending of the stunning dress she had on.
