Emmys 2012: Jimmy Kimmel Has His Parents Escorted Out

Just when you think Jimmy Kimmel couldn’t get any funnier, he goes and surprises you by (scriptedly) booting his parents from the Emmy Awards 2012. Above is the video.

During this year’s Emmys, which took place over the weekend at the Nokia Theater in Los Angeles, Kimmel, the host of the show, came to the sudden realization that he’d been living a lie.

His parents, like any other decent, loving parents, told him that he could do whatever he set his mind to but, as it so happened, he wanted to win an Emmy – and it didn’t happen.

Hence, they lied to him. Hence, no punishment would be more in order than being booted from the awards show.

Or, as Kimmel put it, “they gotta learn somehow.”
