Claire Danes had to face some very tough competitors in the Best Actress in a Drama Series category at the 64th Annual Primetime Emmy Awards, but she won. Above is her acceptance speech in full.
Danes won for her role in Showtime’s hit series “Homeland,” so it was only natural that she thank the entire crew and the network, as well as her own team.
She also included a few, very nice words about her co-star Damian Lewis, saying, “[He] did the magnificent trick of taking a villain and making them someone so human.”
Claire left her husband last, showering him with praise whilst also struggling to not let nerves get the best of her.
“My husband, my love, my life, my baby daddy. I couldn't do anything without you. I love you so much and I am so grateful,” she said as her husband smiled proudly in the audience.
