The undercover woman turned out to be an armed police officer in cape and gown

Yesterday we reported that “Harry Potter” actress Emma Watson graduated from Brown University and she attended the ceremony like any other commoner would, in cape and gown. At the time, we praised her serious intentions when it came to education, but also her down-to-earthliness in such events.

It turns out that we were wrong, since today, photos have emerged in the press, showing that if you were to approach Emma at the graduation ceremony without her consent, you would have been tackled by armed bodyguards in disguise, who blended in by donning the same cap and gown as everybody else.

The initial photos showed Emma smiling, surrounded by people wearing the same ceremonial outfit. Nothing out of the ordinary there so far, right? Well, in photos taken after the event finished, we see that the lady sitting patiently next to Emma at the ceremony was actually a policewoman in disguise.

As soon as the cape came off, out came the badge, the gun, the pepper spray and the walkie-talkie. Talk about Miss Congeniality! Between the policewoman and her mother, both flanking her on either side throughout the entire ceremony, Emma couldn't have been safer.

We congratulate the actress on managing to mix acting with a college education, but this bodyguard thing proves that the two really can't mix. Basically, you can't be a world famous actor and attend college like a regular Joe.

Still, Emma and her personal escort have to be commended for the great job they did in managing to blend in for one, and secondly for managing to fool the press. As the old wise wizard in “Harry Potter” would say, “10 points to Gryffindor!”

Watson has graduated from Brown University in Rhode Island, with a degree in English Literature, after attending three years at Brown and one year in Oxford, as a guest student. She also took a one-year brake in 2009 to complete filming for “Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows.”

During that time, she fell in and out of love with fellow college student Will Adamovicz, the son of a billionaire, whom she later broke up with in favor of a rugby player from Oxford, very popular with the local girls, if we're to lend an ear to the rumors around campus.

At the moment, Emma seems to be focusing on her education though, as well as on her career. She's just starred on screen opposite Russell Crowe in the biblical epic “Noah” and she is rumored to be in talks for a part in the live-action adaptation of the classic children's story “The Little Mermaid.”
