She’s one of the richest and most popular young actresses of our time and, at the same time, she’s also a much in demand model. With all that, British beauty Emma Watston says she doesn’t obsess over her looks and would certainly not stick to what she refers to as the “LA diet.”

Watson is now living in the US where, until not long ago, she was completing her academic studies. Now, because of too many business engagements, she’s put school on pause, but she remains just as unfazed about everything celebrity-related as she was before.

Speaking with Harper’s Bazaar (quotes via Contact Music), Emma says Los Angeles and, of course, the celebrity culture, are driving her insane with the demands and the pressure they place on women to look a certain way.

“LA scares the [hell] out of me,” Watson says. She’s constantly under pressure to look and be a certain way.

“I feel if I have to work out four hours a day, and count the calories of everything I put in my mouth, and have Botox at 22, and obsess about how I look the whole time, I will go mad. I will absolutely lose it,” she says.

Of course, Emma has already made her choice – and she’s opted not to pay any attention to what others have to say, and just stay true to herself.

She’s not alone in doing this, either.

Emma Stone, another young and promising actress, has taken the same stand on the demands of showbiz, mocking in a recent interview the diet and workout program promoted by Tracy Anderson.

“That diet, have you seen it? It’s like: Eat this diet, which is a palm-size piece of chicken and some beans, and work out two hours a day for the rest of your life,” Stone said about Anderson’s method, as we also reported at the time.
