She’s just 19 years old, but British Emma Watson is the highest grossing actress of the decade, putting to shame in terms of paycheck and ticket sales veteran thespians and crowd magnets like Angelina Jolie, Cameron Diaz or the rest of other actresses. According to Guinness Book of World Records, as cited by EW, thanks to the “Harry Potter” films, Emma could easily retire tomorrow if she so desired.

To establish that the young British star is, indeed, the hottest actress of the past 10 years in terms of box-office appeal, Guinness looked at ticket sales for the “Harry Potter” films. They made a total $5.4 billion worldwide, which puts each film at $900 million, well ahead of many other female stars who have had films coming out this year. Moreover, since starring in the first “Harry Potter” film in 2001 as Hermione, Watson has amassed a fortune of £10million.

And this is not where the achievements of this young actress stop either, the Daily Mail also says. “Since her first outing as Hermione as a 10-year-old in 2001, she has amassed a £10 million fortune and was recently placed sixth on Forbes’ list of Hollywood’s Most Valuable Young Stars,” the Mail reports. With all this in mind, Emma could easily retire and never work a day in her life if that’s what she desired, it is being said.

Still, that is unlikely to be the case. Earlier this year, as she was preparing to move to the US to continue with her education, Emma was telling the media that, while terribly scared about what the future might hold for her past the “Harry Potter” franchise, she was hopeful that she will get the chance to prove her worth in upcoming projects. In other words, she was saying that, while Hermione would always be a part of her and she would always look back to the character as the one that “made” her, she was ecstatic about the idea that she would also get to sink her teeth into new projects.

In the meanwhile though, Watson focuses on being an A-student like she’s been her entire life. The Guinness Book of World Records puts Samuel L. Jackson as her counterpart in terms of best-selling actor of the decade, but EW believes that could be either Alan Rickman or Orlando Bloom.
