The “Fifty Shades of Grey” movie might still be in production limbo but at least we're getting fresh reports on who might be starring in it as leads. Emma Watson and Ian Somerhalder are frontrunners.

Those who have not heard of the best-selling trilogy by author E.L. James either have been living under a rock or are immune to this type of light writing.

Either way, there's a lot of interest in bringing the racy story to the big screen, with lots of A-list names having already attached to the project, which remains in the very early development stage.

Angelina Jolie was at one point rumored to be interested to direct, while “Star Trek” hunk Chris Pine was being considered for leading man.

Now, it's “Vampire Diaries” star Ian who is up for the male lead, while Emma is considered for his love interest.

Because of the saucy nature of the source material, there's a heated debate right now on whether the move wouldn't be too risky for Emma, especially since she's relatively fresh off “Harry Potter.”
