In a day and age when education has taken a back step for most teenagers, actress Emma Watson proves that celebrity and a college education can be mixed, as she's just reported to have graduated after completing the courses of Brown University.

As some of you might feel very old reading this news about the little girl from Harry Potter graduating from college, the 24-year-old actress has celebrated her achievement by posting a photo of herself in full graduation regalia on her social media.

She has liked to share her moment of success with her fans, it seems, on the day that she received her Bachelor's Degree in English. On this important day, she joins some 2,000 classmate at Brown in making up the graduating class of 2014.

The Brown University is located in Rhode Island and it's been the place where the British actress has attended courses over a period of four years (five, if you count the year at Oxford). During that time, she's had some interesting experiences due to her celebrity status, but she's also had some nice moments as she's reported to have found her boyfriend during her university stint.

Rumors had her connected with William Adamowicz, a millionaire's son she met as a visiting student at Oxford. The couple began dating in 2011 but split up in January this year, due to her busy schedule. Later, she was seen in the company of Oxford rugby player Matthew Janney, but their relationship hasn't been confirmed yet.

In the photo that Watson has posted on Twitter, the pretty actress can be seen in gown and cap, with just a hint of class suggested by her red lipstick. She looks confident into the camera, with the thinnest sign of a smile, clearly proud of her achievement.

She has expressed on numerous occasions that she found it difficult to juggle her acting career and her school studies, but it seems that, in the end, she pulled it off. She took a year off her studies in 2009 to film “Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows,” but she did express her intent to finish her studies.

Next, the actress has several acting projects lined up. Most recently, she played opposite Russell Crowe in the biblical epic “Noah,” but she is also rumored to be eyed for a role in the “Little Mermaid” live-action movie.

Harry Potter fans will be glad to know that there is a reunion in the works with Daniel Radcliffe and Rupert Grint. The plan is to film new footage for the upcoming Universal Studios' ride, which is going to be called “Harry Potter and the Escape from Gringotts.”
