Eminem and Rihanna Shooting Video for ‘Love the Way You Lie’

Eminem is back again, topping the charts and proving that the break he took from making music affected his ability to make best selling albums in absolutely no way. With “Recovery” still being a favorite, the rapper is preparing to start working on a video for another single off it, for “Love the Way You Lie,” a duet with singer Rihanna. Even more, the video will go into production this week, AceShowbiz informs.

According to word in the Twitterverse, it would seem that there were no concrete plans about doing a video for the track – at least not at first. Presumably, Rihanna’s ongoing tour and Em’s own work commitments prevented them from coming up with the perfect timing to shoot a video. However, things do change, and this seems to have been the case here too, because a video will be made and it will feature both top-selling artists.

“Eminem and Rihanna are going to film visuals for their duet track ‘Love the Way You Lie’ this coming Tuesday, July 20. Confirming the news is director Joseph Kahn who shared it through his Twitter. He began, ‘Got off a call. Emergency music video. Gonna write and turn in a treatment in three hours to shoot asap.’ He then followed it up with other posts, ‘Video is gonna happen. Lots of work to do now. Video is awarded. Starts shooting Tuesday. Eminem & Rihanna. Off we go!’” AceShowbiz writes.

“‘Love the Way You Lie’ is taken from Eminem’s chart topper ‘Recovery.’ It was showcased live for the very first time by the Slim Shady and Rihanna at the Staples Center in Los Angeles during the Activision’s E3 event last month. Beside prepping the Rihanna-featuring clip, Eminem also plans to shoot another music video, this time around to support Lil Wayne-assisted track ‘No Love’,” the e-zine further writes. Therefore, Em surely has a lot on his plate right now.

As we were also telling you a while back, “Love the Way You Lie,” already a hit with fans, is about an abusive relationship and the dynamics that make it possible. It is brutal and blunt, just like most of Eminem’s tracks – which is one of the reasons why his fans love him so much, because he doesn’t waste time sugar-coating what he has to say.
