The NFL Owners party that is taking place after the Superbowl wanted to book a performance by a popular artist so they set about shopping for offers. TMZ reports that several big names in the industry missed out on the opportunity because they overbid.

The first to be contacted was Detroit rapper Eminem. However, when the NFL Owners contacted him, his agents asked for $2 million (€1.46 million) which was way more than they were willing to offer. So they turned to other popular artists from the charts.

When Kanye West was approached, his reps gave out a price of $1 million (€732,386) but also added a lot of extra perks on the list. This made the organizers for the party turn down the offer and start looking elsewhere.

Finally, the organizers settled with singer Janelle Monae on the more reasonable price of $150,000 (€109,858). The party is said to feature other famous artists as well as well-known DJs for a grand total of $1 million (€732,386).
