14 DAY TRIAL // Rapper Eminem likes to keep a very tight lid on his personal life so we’ll probably never know if the latest report, about his getting back together with his ex-wife Kim Scott Mathers, is accurate. However, her own mother is saying it’s true, so that should count for something.
Radar Online tracked down Kathy Sluck, Kim’s mother, who now lives with her while Eminem is building her a mansion in the same Detroit suburb, close by. Sluck says the two exes have been in contact a lot in recent months, which is giving her fresh hope that they might try to make their relationship work for a third time.
Anyone who’s even remotely an Eminem fan knows that the first time his marriage to Kim fell apart, he wrote all these nasty, incredibly bitter songs about her, in which wishing her dead was the least awful thing he had to say about her. The divorced but re-married years later, and got divorced again after only a few months.
All in all, Em and Kim have a colorful history together, and they might be getting ready for a new chapter as we speak.
“They get along better than ever. He’s building her a new house on 22 mile right over there. She has been clean all these years, she just takes care of her family. She’s doing very well. I think they might [get back together], they get on better than ever,” Ms. Sluck says for the publication.
Martie Hartter, the grandmother of Eminem’s adopted daughter Whitney (he also has a daughter with Kim, Hailie), says she too is convinced the two were meant to be, even though she agrees their relationship is too volatile to not be downright dangerous.
“As far as I know they’re not together, but I think your first love they’re always going to have that tumultuous back and forth thing going – always. They’ve been in love since they were 14 or 15 and that’s not going to stop anytime soon,” Hartter explains for the same media outlet.
She thinks Eminem and Kim will grow up together, even if not romantically involved. She doesn’t rule out the possibility of them thinking about giving it another try but she concedes that’s like “throwing gas on the fire” because they hate each other as passionately as they love each other.
