The 33-year-old rapper, real name Marshall Mathers III, is to marry his ex-wife Kim Mathers again. The singer told Detroit radio station WKQI-FM that they "have reconciled and are probably going to remarry."
Eminem and Kim got married in 1991 and divorced in 2001. A battle over who will get the custody of their daughter Hailie followed shortly.
So the news comes as a shock. A friend of the singer has declared for the "Star" magazine though:
"Kim is the only woman he trusts. She's broken his heart, she's made a fool of him, he's wished her dead on his records. And he still loves her!"
Their marriage ended dramatically. In August 2000, Eminem was first filing for divorce, after a run-in with police and a suicide attempt of his wife. But the two decided to give it another try and got back right before Christmas 2000. In 2001, it was Kim's turn to file for divorce. Eminem's lawyer was declaring at the time:
"This is a marriage that apparently just isn't going to work.
Luckily, the parties seem to be communicating well with respect to their daughter and hopefully that communication and co-operation is going to be ongoing for the best interest of the child."
Yet another try might prove lucky for the two.
In the meanwhile, the rapper has just released a greatest hits
album, "Curtain Call", sparking rumors about a possible retirement.
