Eminem seems determined to offend as many people as possible, apparently. Just one day after coming under serious fire for rapping about wanting to punch Lana Del Rey “like Ray Rice,” the former NFL star who assaulted his then-fiancé in an elevator earlier this year, knocking her out with just one punch, he’s managed to step on even more toes.

The Detroit rapper was just one of the many celebrities who showed up to perform at HBO’s Veterans Day Concert, “Concert for Valor,” but he was the only one who F-bombed his way through the introduction.

As you can see in the video below, he came up just as Rihanna was completing her set, so they did “The Monster,” their most recent collaboration, together.

Eminem being Eminem, proceeded to wishing people in the audience a “Happy mother[expletive]ing Veterans Day!,” right before launching into his own set, which included “Guts Over Fear,” “Not Afraid,” and “Lose Yourself.”

As you can imagine, Twitter flipped: most people agree that he should have not been invited to perform, because organizers must have known he wouldn’t be able to keep from swearing. And it was very disrespectful for him to do that. Others attack him for insulting veterans with his F-bombs and point that his shtick is getting old.

I believe Em’s relevance isn’t questioned yet, but I do incline to agree with those saying he could have checked himself, because it wouldn’t have been that much of an effort after all.

The other performers included Jessie J, The Black Eyed Peas, and Bruce Springsteen. Over 80,000 people attended the show, which was aired on HBO. You can see Rihanna and Eminem’s performance on YouTube: Rihanna was truly spectacular.
