You might not have heard of Emily Ratajkowski before Robin Thicke’s “Blurred Lines” video came out, but you’re bound to remember the name because she’s going places. Emily is featured in this month’s issue of GQ and, of course, she talks about the controversial music video.

As she sees it, there’s really nothing that controversial about it, though she does admit that even she was shocked to see herself in the nude on the screen.

“It was my personality. There was no glamour involved. I was just silly and playful and kind of ridiculous–a big dork. And I only let my best friends see that. Or if I’ve had a couple of cocktails,” she says of how complexly unglamorous and revealing her scenes came across in the video.

In the end, all the brouhaha around the video paid off: Emily has landed the role of Ben Affleck’s love interest in his next movie and that, for any actress, let alone for a model looking to break into film, is a huge deal.

Still, she wishes people would learn her name instead of calling her “Emily Rajajajaja.” “I get it. It’s eleven letters; it’s scary,” she says.

By the way, Emily was shot by infamous photographer Terry Richardson for GQ. Talk about “revealing.”
