For this year's Met Gala, Emily Blunt and John Krasinski chose to strut up and down the red carpet sporting environmentally-friendly outfits.

Apparently, the couple settled on wearing green-oriented clothes to show that they fully support and approve of Livia Firth’s Green Carpet Challenge.

For those unaware, this Challenge comes down to asking celebrities to choose eco-friendly clothing items when making public appearances on the red carpet.

According to Ecorazzi, Emily Blunt wore a black gown made by Carolina Herrera from recycled fabrics dating back to the ‘40s and ‘60s.

“I’m so excited that Carolina Herrera has created this gown for me with elegance and ethics in mind. It’s gorgeous and edgy and it thrills me to be a part of a fashion moment that hasn’t compromised itself in creativity yet has the important story of using all sustainable fabrics and techniques,” Emily Blunt reportedly said.

John Krasinski chose to wear a Tom Ford sustainable tuxedo.
