The company already has a rich portfolio of cheap Android slates out

If you thought Android slates couldn't get any cheaper, Ematic – known manufacturer of budget slates, shows it can push price tag boundaries even harder.

The company has just added another new model to its Android slate portfolio, which has been dubbed the Ematic EM63. Ematic offers it at the very tiny and reduced price of $83.74 / €62 and those interested can be purchase it via Amazon.

Let’s see what you could be getting for this money. The EM63 features a 7-inch screen with a sub HD resolution of 1024 x 600, an improvement from previous models.

Under the hood, Ematic has packed a 1.5GHz dual-core CPU bundled with 1GB RAM, which the company claims is enough for watching movies, playing games or browsing the web. 4GB of internal storage is provided and a microSD card that allows users to go as far as 32GB. The standard set of functionalities is also included: Wi-Fi, miniHDMI, USB 2.0 and a camera.

The slate is available in a host of different colors: black, blue, pink, purple and red.

Even if these are not the most advanced specifications, Ematic packs enough to justify the price and even take some customers by surprise. We’re pretty sure, the EM63 will make a better than average couch buddy.
