If you suddenly get a tablet craving while shopping, you can pick this up from Walmart

We have been getting accustomed to connecting the Ematic brand name to budget tablets with less than stellar capabilities.

The company has introduced a new tablet, but surprisingly or not, it turns out to be quite a decent product coming with a price tag of just $100 / €74. The steep price drop and the honorable specs might be attributed to the fact that component parts have seen their prices fall more and more, lately.

Going back to the Ematic EGQ307, this is a 7-inch capacitive multitouch screen tablet with a resolution of 1024 x 600 pixels. It’s powered by a 1.5GHz quad-core processor coupled with 1GB of RAM.

There’s not a lot in terms of internal storage (just 8GB), but users can increase via the microSD card slot. On top of that there’s a mini HDMI out port, a frontal VGA camera ad 801.11 b/g/n Wi-Fi. Android 4.2 Jelly Bean is the operating system available.

To be noted that the EGQ307 is a Google Certified device and, therefore, allows access to the Google Play Store and all the plethora of Google Apps we all love.

The slate is available for purchase today off Walmart and B&H. Choose yours from black, blue, red and yellow models!
