Unless the odd-looking creature is actually a raccoon with mange, that is

Too many people think that there is no such thing as a beast dubbed el chupacabra and that those who believe to have seen it are either delusional or could use a new pair of glasses. The good news is that a couple in Texas, US, is here to prove these people wrong.

Not to beat about the bush, wife Jackie Stock and husband Bubba, who now live in the small town of Ratcliffe, claim to have not only laid eyes on the legendary beast, but to have also captured it.

Talking to the press, the couple explained that, at the time when they first locked eyes with the legendary creature, the latter was busy feasting on some corn close to their home, Daily Mail informs.

By the looks of it, Bubba was the one who first spotted it, and alerted his wife. Since Bubba was way too surprised to figure out what exactly he was looking at, it was Jackie who identified the odd-looking animal as the chupacabra.

“He called me to come and look, and I said 'Bubba that looks like a baby chupacabra,” Jackie recollects. “We were just trying to figure out what it is because we've never seen anything like it before,” the woman goes on to detail.

Since one can never be too cautious when announcing to the world the capture of an elusive, mythical, and quite horrific monster, the couple made sure that they got another opinion before going public with the news that they might be in possession of a live chupacabra.

Thus, they allowed both friends and neighbors to have a look at the creature. Neighbor Arlen Parma, who is an experienced hunter, says that the animal looks nothing like the wild creatures he has until now had the chance to come across.

Add to this the fact that the sounds it keeps making are quite peculiar, and all evidence indicates that Jackie and Bubba's new pet is a living and breathing chupacabra. “A coon doesn’t make that noise, or a possum. What makes that noise? I guess a chupacabra does,” Arlen Parma explains.

The creature, pictured above, is currently kept in a cage, and the Texas couple is making sure that it does not lack access to water or food. The animal is about the size of a cat, its eyes are surprisingly big and its skin is black and covered in wrinkles. If it's not a chupacabra, it's probably a mammal suffering from a parasitic infestation that has caused it to lose all its fur.
