[IMG=1] Elton John plans to marry his partner of 11 years, David Furnish, before Christmas - as soon as the same-sex civil partnerships become legal in England. John declared to Daily Mirror that there will be no honey moon, because he'll be on tour, but he's verry happy to get merry. "We definitely want to do it about the middle of December," John, 58, told the paper. "Meeting David has been the greatest thing to happen to me." This determined David to take attitude and to declare that they "never been happier." "He's the most honest guy I've ever met," John said. "If anything happened, I think David would say: 'Listen, I was tempted the other night,' and he's human. But that hasn't happened. ... Yes, we spend a lot of time apart and it's hard, but we make it work." "We phone each other five or six times a day and we still send each other a card from wherever we are." David was always there for him and helped the star overcome his problem with drugs and alcohol. The 58-year-old singer-songwriter told the Daily Mirror that the event would most likely take place in Windsor, the town just west of London where Prince Charles wed his own long-standing consort, Camilla Parker Bowles, earlier this month. Born Reg Dwight in 1947, John was a childhood piano prodigy who became one of the biggest selling pop artists in the world in the 1970s and 1980s, amassing vast wealth. In recent years he has become as famous for his extravagant spending, glamorous lifestyle and work with AIDS charities, as for his music, although he still tours regularly. The star was previously married to Renate Blauel in 1984 and devorced in 1988. As for his career, Elton John declared he is writing new song with Scissor Sisters and preparing the launch of two musicals, "Vampire Lestat" and a live versions of the film "Billy Elliot" The debut of "Elliot" is programed on 12 may at the Victoria Palace Theatre in London.
