Elton John is one of the most known English pop and rock singers in every corner of the world with several worldwide albums and millions of fans. Because it is so popular, the pop star decided to sign a deal with Apples iTunes, aiming to earn some extra money and increase his popularity. As you surely know, Apples iTunes is one of the most known multimedia applications, allowing users to organize their music and buy new titles straight from the downloadable application.

Sir
Elton John will release his entire back catalog of music - that's 30 + albums and over 400 songs - exclusively to the iTunes Store (ITS) on March 26. The ITS will remain the exclusive online distributor of this collection of music until April 30th, at which time Elton will (presumably) make the offer to other distributors. It's a coup for Apple, as Elton is a legendary musician, and a display of faith in iTunes by Elton himself, The Unofficial Apple Weblog sustained in an article published today.

One of the interesting facts related to this new agreement was observed by a comment posted on the articles page. Richard Mitchell sustained he was watching a Jay Leno show having Elton John as a guest, the pop star saying he would never sign an agreement with iTunes because he doesnt like the application and the idea of digital distribution of his songs.

The announcement comes just after one week since Apple confirmed another partnership, the company informing us that iTunes will sell live concerts with some of the most known bands in the entire world. The agreement was made with The Palms Casino, a hotel that hosts numerous important events with pop stars from every corner of the world.
