Sir Elton John is now shooting for a Pepsi commercial that will air during this year's Super Bowl. ABC caught up with him on the set of the ad – and got him to send Madonna a word of advice for her halftime performance.

Check out the video below to see for yourself.

During the much-mediated sports event, Madonna will perform a set that will include at least “Ray Of Light,” “Vogue” and her upcoming single “Give Me All Your Luvin'.”

She's promised an event like no other before in Super Bowl history and is believed to be rehearsing a lot to make sure she makes good on her word.

With all eyes on her, she can probably use all the help – and advice – she can get.

Sir Elton John, her longtime enemy, has just one thing to say: rehearse more your lip-synching techniques because you'll need them.

“Make sure you lip-synch good,” Sir Elton John says with a mischievous smile when asked if there's anything he'd tell Madonna by means of advice for the best performance ever at the Super Bowl.

There is a problem though, namely that Elton doesn't believe anyone can put on a decent performance here, which is why he's never accepted offers to be the main act of the halftime.

“I’ve never seen a decent one. Never ever,” he says.

As for the lip-synching comment, Elton doesn't necessarily mean it as an offense, even though it might seem that way at first.

“You have to play live, but I don’t think you can. In all fairness to everyone who’s done one before, you may be able to sing live, but it’s really hard to play live,” he says.

As we also noted shortly after the 2012 Golden Globes, the feud between Sir Elton John and Madonna got more serious when she won for Best Original Song, thus beating Elton.

He obviously believed she didn't stand a chance – or deserve to win, for that matter.
