Naughty Dog ripped off the likeness of actress Ellen Page when creating the character of Ellie in The Last of Us, at least according to the actress herself who made a statement about the new game.

The Last of Us was first revealed to the world back in 2011, when gamers from around the world got their first look at the two main characters, Joel and Ellie.

Ever since that first footage appeared, many people thought that Ellie looked a lot like actress Ellen Page.

Naughty Dog implemented a slight makeover for the character but there are still some similarities, enough to make Ellen Page herself say that the studio ripped off her likeness.

"I guess I should be flattered that they ripped off my likeness, but I am actually acting in a video game called Beyond Two Souls, so it was not appreciated," she said during an AMA session on Reddit.

Naughty Dog's Creative Director, Neil Druckmann, then posted on Twitter a message congratulating Ellie's voice actress, Ashley Johnson.

Ellen Page is set to star in another Sony-published game, Beyond: Two Souls, which will appear in the near future for PS3.
