14 DAY TRIAL // Ellen Barkin has always been one of the sassiest presences on the screen and the red carpet, and she clearly has no intention of letting that change even if she's nearing 60. At a recent press event, she unveiled a “new” face but still managed to look incredibly hot.
At the NBC television upfronts this week, the 58-year-old stunner walked the red carpet to promote the upcoming show “The New Normal” – and all eyes were on her and her younger-looking face.
She's definitely had some work done recently, but it's very subtle and good quality, Dr. Anthony Youn, who never met or treated the star, says for Radar Online.
There's no denying Ellen looks different today that she did several years ago, in the sense that she appears to age in reverse, but whatever work she had done is of the best kind.
“She looks better than she used to,” Dr. Youn says, adding that many other female stars of Ellen's age usually go overboard with plastic surgery and end up looking unnatural and, in some cases, downright creepy.
“I suspect that she’s had a facelift, causing her face to look tight and a bit pulled. Her face appears terribly tight nowadays, as if she’s in a wind tunnel but if it was done recently, I suspect that she will look more and more natural with time,” the surgeon further explains.
Barkin once said that she was against Botox because, in her profession, she couldn't afford not to be able to move the muscles of her face, saying she would rather she had “a tighter version of [her] face.”
This is precisely what she got, Dr. Youn says.
“She appears to have had filler injections to some of the wrinkles of her face, causing her to look smooth,” the same expert adds.
A simple Google search of “Ellen Barkin before and after” returns photos that suggest Barkin has been getting subtle work throughout the years, but she is still her sassy old self.
