The first rumors that Elizabeth Olsen was being considered for a part in “Avengers: Age of Ultron,” Joss Whedon’s highly anticipated sequel to “The Avengers,” started making the rounds this last August. Samuel L. Jackson is now confirming them.

However, he’s not speaking in an official capacity, which you might want to remember before getting all hyped up (one way or another) about the news.

“I don't know what she's doing, if she's on the inside or the outside. I haven't seen a script,” Jackson says in an interview with the Wall Street Journal.

Word first had it that Olsen would be playing Scarlet Witch, the sister of Quicksilver, who’s being played by Aaron Taylor-Johnson. She has the power to change the future by altering probabilities and is a very powerful mutant.

Saoirse Ronan, who was most recently seen in the big screen adaptation of Stephenie Meyer’s “The Host,” was initially approached for the part, but she turned it down.

“Avengers: Age of Ultron” will start shooting in early 2014 in London, and is set for a 2015 release.
