It seems that releasing new case fans is not all that Cooler Master is up to, as there seem to be two Elite series cases on the way, one for small and one for large personal computers.
High-end, intricate PC cases may be the ones that get most of the media's attention, but they are not suited for the bulk of the consumer market.
As such, chassis builders need to always make sure their product lines are up to speed with current trends and varied enough to cover the tastes of any prospective buyer.
That said, Cooler Master has
reportedly been working on a pair of additions to a certain line of enclosures known as the Elite series.
They are known by the names of Elite 342 and Elite 371 and feature the mini-tower and mid-tower form factors.
Their shapes and sizes, thus, determine what motherboards they support and hint at the maximum capabilities of any system they happen to be used for.
Specifically, the former only copes with micro-ATX platforms, whereas the latter is large enough to accommodate even so-called regular ATX motherboards.
The Elite 371 measures 190 by 424 by 490 mm, has three 5.15-inch ODD bays, five internal 3.5-inch HDD/SSD bays and a front panel with USB 2.0 and audio ports.
Additionally, the mid-tower comes with tool-free drive installation and uses a 120mm fan, at the rear, for heat dispersion. Its weight is of 4.7 kg.
The Elite 343 has a steel body, a removable HDD cage, a pair of 5.25-inch bays and a front IO panel with the same USB 2.0 and audio options.
All this, plus a front 120mm fan, is packed inside a frame that measures 180 x 352 x 440 mm and is coated black.
Unfortunately, though not unexpectedly, there is no mention of pricing and availability.
