Beautiful actress Elisha Cuthbert and her boyfriend of 5 years, hockey player Dion Phaneuf, were married over the weekend in a traditional ceremony in home country Canada. The first photos of the bride and groom have already emerged online.

The Daily Mail has a few of them, together with more details on the intimate ceremony.

“Channeling old Hollywood glamour in a stunning long sleeved full length gown Elisha beamed as tied the knot with hockey defenseman Dion Phaneuf in front of her family and friends in her native Canada,” the tab writes.

The ceremony took place at the St. James Church in Summerfield, Prince Edward Island, with the bride and groom stopping to wave and smile at well-wishers (and the media) outside both before and after the ceremony.

“The picturesque church, which is perched in the middle of a green hill, provided the perfect location for the pair. The traditional and quaint chapel added to the romance of the star's day, but nothing was more spectacular than her dress,” the Mail says.

“The 30-year-old chose a traditional lace dress which featured a natural waist and flared tulle skirt. Clearly inspired by Grace Kelly's revered gown the dress featured a sheer lace long-sleeved, a soft V-neck neckline and diamond applique belt,” adds the same media outlet.

Elisha wore her hair on her back in very loose curls, and had a long veil fixed to a small tiara.

While no details on the reception have yet been made available, E! News cites Rev. Paul Egan, who officiated the wedding, as saying that this was the biggest ceremony of the kind he had ever done.

He also said he hoped the paparazzi won’t ruin such a wonderful day for the couple and, according to the first reports, they didn’t.

Elisha and Dion became engaged last September.
