She’s proved before she has the right moves to charm an audience, but whether she can do the same to a panel of judges remains to be seen. George Clooney’s ex, Elisabetta Canalis, is reportedly in talks to be on the upcoming season of Dancing With the Stars.

ABC makes a habit of not addressing casting rumors, but E! Online claims to have it on very good authority that Canalis is wanted for the show.

Presumably, producers believe her romance with Hollywood’s most eligible bachelor Clooney, which ended in tears (on her part) earlier this year, will boost ratings for the show.

Canalis too would see a boost in popularity with it, which would come very in handy since she’s reportedly considering a career in Hollywood.

“According to sources, George Clooney’s ex-girlfriend Elisabetta Canalis has signed on to the upcoming 13th season of Dancing With the Stars,” E! reports.

“ABC does not comment on casting rumors, and the new cast will be announced during Bachelor Pad on Aug. 29. However, insiders tell us the Italian model will be on board,” the e-zine further says.

“Elisabetta would be following in the footsteps of Clooney’s rumored new girlfriend, Stacy Keibler, who starred in the second season of DWTS. Canalis also would be pulling a Melissa Rycroft, bouncing back from a very public split by shaking her groove thing,” E! further says.

While confirmation of Canalis’ participation will be made at the end of the month, when the announcement of the official lineup is made, two other stars are definitely not on board the new season.

Reports last week had it that Snooki of “Jersey Shore” and Queen Latifah had been approached by producers and had already said yes to be on the upcoming season.

Queen Latifah addressed the rumor on her Twitter page, saying it wasn’t accurate, while inside sources reveal that Snooki is wanted for the new season but it yet to sign on the dotted line, which should have happened by now.
