A very short while ago, reports were saying that Elin Nordegren, Tiger Woods’ ex-wife, on whom he cheated several times and was publicly shamed for it, “hated” his new girlfriend, skier Lindsey Vonn. A new report suggests that Elin had a change of heart.

These days, she actually thinks that Lindsey is a good influence on the golfer and, consequently, she approves of the relationship, Page Six writes, citing reliable but unnamed inside sources.

“We’re told Swedish stunner Nordegren ‘really likes Lindsey and thinks she is a very good influence on Tiger.’ Nordegren, who had two children with Woods, famously dumped him after his affairs with dozens of women, including New York hospitality maven Rachel Uchitel, were revealed,” the publication writes.

“Sources tell us the former model believes her ex ‘seems happy with Lindsey, and she gets on well with their children’,” the same media outlet says.

It was because of the kids that Elin didn’t initially like Lindsey, thinking that it would do them no good to see their father with another woman so soon after the divorce.

Reports also said that Elin was convinced that Tiger would do to Lindsey what he did to her as well, which, in turn, would have meant more instability for the kids because she’d be out of the picture just as they’d gotten the chance to know her better.

Just the other day, in the latest issue of Vogue US, Lindsey opened up on the much mediated romance with the golfer, saying that, even though they were just friends at first, they “instantly clicked.”

She also rubbished speculation that she’s thinking of tying the knot – with Tiger or anyone else –, saying that her first marriage was enough to convince her never to do it again.

“That's the thing: It all comes back to being happy. It doesn't really matter what anyone else thinks; do what you love to do and be happy and that's it,” she also said.
