Elin Nordegren Not Recognized in Miami Club, Denied Entry

Ever since her marriage to golfer Tiger Woods came crumbling down as one of the biggest celebrity media scandals broke, Elin Nordegren has been keeping a very low profile – too low, it would seem, according to a new report.

The stunning former model spent last weekend in Miami, but she managed to avoid the paparazzi. However, she’s now making headlines for admittedly keeping such a low profile that she was not even deemed famous enough to gain access to a local nightclub.

“Nordegren’s weekend in obscurity started with the ex-model having dinner with two of her siblings and Swedish hockey player Douglas Murray at Mr. Chow in Miami Friday,” the New York Daily News reports.

Though Elin and Murray were romantically linked in the press for the first time this summer, he repeatedly denied there was any truth to the rumors, saying they were just good friends.

“After dinner, Nordegren led a small group to Hyde nightclub where they were initially refused entry,” the report goes on to mention.

The doors opened for Elin only when she dropped Tiger Woods’ name, eyewitnesses confirm for the publication.

“Someone in the entourage said, ‘This is Elin, Tiger Woods’ wife,’ so only after they dropped the name, they let her in,” says a spy.

“Nobody recognizes her — she was only a celebrity because she married Tiger Woods,” adds the same insider.

This isn’t entirely true, since Elin was quite a successful model back in the day.

As we also reported at the time, her marriage to Tiger Woods ended when she found out that he had been cheating on her with strangers whenever he was away on golf tournaments.

Though they initially tried to work through the problem, the scandal soon reached such proportions that she decided divorce was the only alternative possible.

According to unconfirmed press reports, Elin walked away from the marriage with a $100-million (€76.87 million) settlement.
