14 DAY TRIAL // For the past couple of weeks, if not actually more, rumors online have been saying that Elin Nordegren, soon to become the ex-wife of Tiger Woods, would become a filthy rich woman under an agreement signed with the golfer, getting no less than $750 million. The other day, sources claimed the amount was actually smaller than that, with TMZ now reporting that it’s somewhere in the vicinity of $100 million.
As we also reported on several past occasions, Elin is believed to have a come up with a series of very strict conditions for Tiger, all of which he agreed to. This includes giving her permanent physical custody of the children and only legal joint custody, and agreeing not to spend time with female friends (read: mistresses) when the kids are in his care. On the other hand, Elin has reportedly agreed to keep quiet on the time she spent married to the golfer, as well as on the secrets she learned about him in the aftermath of the cheating scandal.
“TMZ has learned... Elin Nordegren will walk away from her marriage with Tiger Woods with approximately $100 million. As one source with direct knowledge of the terms of the divorce tells TMZ, ‘She’ll be getting close to $100,000,000.’ There have been reports Elin would score $750 million, but we have confirmed that figure is wrong. Indeed, as we first reported, Tiger is not even worth $750 million. We’re told his net worth is somewhere between $500 and $600 million,” TMZ writes.
“The $100 million is way more than Elin would have received under the prenup. Sources say Elin will receive child support, but we do not know the specific amount. As for the $100 million figure... this is not speculation... it comes from sources with direct knowledge of the property settlement agreement. To put this in some perspective, Elin will be getting 10 times what Rachel Uchitel scored from Tiger,” the same media outlet further informs.
The other option that Elin had as regards her divorce from Tiger was to go with what was stipulated in the prenup and then hope she’d land several lucrative media deals, which may not have happened. Now that she put her name on the dotted line with the divorce agreement, she will be barred for ever from talking about her marriage, her live with Tiger or the extra-marital affairs to which he confessed as he tried to work his way towards a reconciliation.
