Elin Nordegren Calls Off Divorce from Tiger Woods

Reports say that serial cheater Tiger Woods is now seeking counseling and professional help at the Gentle Path Clinic in Hattiesburg, MS. His wife, Elin Nordegren, admittedly agreed to put the divorce proceedings on hold until he completed treatment but one visit was enough to convince her to give their marriage another go, People magazine reports.

Elin has decided she doesn’t want to divorce Tiger and has already contacted her attorney to let him know that she doesn’t want him to go through with this. Behind her decision lies a motivation that goes beyond love for her husband, unnamed sources are telling the US media: she’s doing it for the children. In fact, the former model is so determined to make her marriage work (whichever way) that she’s even willing to live under the same house with Woods as just friends.

All this stems from her decision that she doesn’t want her children to grow up without a father, like she did. “Elin wants a solid family life. She was a child of divorce and felt her dad slighted her. She absolutely does not want that to happen to Sam and Charlie. So she wants to keep her family together even if she and Tiger live together as friends instead of lovers,” an unnamed but reportedly very reliable insider says for People.

Tiger, in his turn, does not want a divorce, as reports in the media had it a while back, shortly after all of his mistresses had stepped forward with their stories of his infidelities. Despite how he treated Elin, he does love her and the two children they have together. At the same time, since this story broke in November last year, word also had it that Nordegren would file for divorce (which she presumably did) and would ask for no less than $300 million from Woods’ impressive estate.

The other day, the so-called mystery of what happened on the night when Woods smashed his car into a fire hydrant and then a tree on his neighbor’s lawn, when Elin found out about his mistress Rachel Uchitel, was solved. Apparently, Nordegren impersonated her husband in a text message to the mistress and thus found out that he had been cheating on her.
