It can't be daisy-chained and the price is somewhat high

No one said Thunderbolt drives were supposed to be cheap, especially when they're SSDs instead of HDDs.

Still, when Elgato made the Thuderbolt SSDs, it could have at least tried to make it a bit cheaper.

After all, paying $430, or 327 Euro, for 120 GB of storage isn't something many people will enthusiastically do.

Granted, the transfer speed of 270 MB/s is quite high and the drive does work in total silence. It's an SSD after all, not an HDD.

Unfortunately, the price is not the only downside. The second drawback is that the Thunderbolt SSD only has one port, which means that it is impossible to daisy-chain multiple drives.

Of course, with the above price, and the tag of $700 for the 240 GB model, it isn't like many people would afford more than one anyway.

European stores should already have Elgato's products on sale. US stores will get them in a week or so. Mac system users are the main targets, though there are some Windows PCs with the interface as well.
