14 DAY TRIAL // I have come across a clip of a safari trip gone wrong. A jeep full of tourists and led by a guide is charged by an enraged elephant.
This clip was uploaded to YouTube by user JukinVideoDotCom and it has been watched about 50,000 times since yesterday.
Just picturing being in the tourists' shoes is quite scary as the car could have been overturned by the female elephant. Guide Johann Lombard was inside the vehicle, the uploader writes in the description.
As the group stops to observe a herd of elephants, one of latter heads for them and slams right into the car.
Lombard tries calming it down and chasing it away and it works, as the animal soon backs off. The female was not provoked in any way beforehand.
