Video game developer Crytek and publisher Electronic Arts seem to be working on a whole new video game project, as suggested by a new job listing which seeks a new video editor for a studio in Guilford, United Kingdom.

The job ad says that knowledge of the CryEngine is an asset for those who apply and that the person hired will then work “alongside EAGL marketing and Crytek to define the process and work flow.”

Given that the best known video game franchise from Crytek is the first-person shooter Crysis, the new project is probably the third full game in the series, but there’s also the possibility that the two companies are planning to create a whole new series.

At the moment, Crytek is working on Ryse with Microsoft, exclusively on the Xbox 360, on Warface, for the Chinese market, and on Homefront 2, which is set to be published by THQ during 2013.
