Video game publisher Electronic Arts announces that it is moving the Origin digital distribution service to the Labels division headed by Frank Gibeau, with Andrew Wilson now leading the development of the feature set.

An internal e-mail sent by Larry Probst, the current executive chairman of the company, states the new structure will work “with CJ Prober and the team to create more value and an enhanced entertainment experience for our consumers.”

At the same time, all marketing for Electronic Arts is now linked to Peter Moore, the current chief operations officer of the company.

Former CEO John Riccitiello has resigned after poorer than expected performance from the publisher, and Moore is one of the candidates rumored to replace him.

The company says that it plans to focus on next-generation console releases and on mobile titles in the coming years.
