By: Florin Troaca, Communications News Editor

EA Mobile unveiled the availability of many EA games for mobile devices that run on BlackBerry, Symbian and Windows Mobile operating systems. The new titles include popular games like

EA Mobile has already published various games for Symbian, BlackBerry and Windows Mobile. The Symbian titles currently available include The Sims, Doom and Tiger Woods PGA TOUR. EA SPORTS FIFA 08 is one of the newly available games for the Symbian platform, and more titles will follow soon.

Discussing about the EA mobile games, Jerry Panagrossi, Vice President and General Manager of North American Operations, Symbian, said: "Mobile convergence has arrived and EA Mobile is taking it by storm by bringing its top-selling branded games to Symbian OS. With shipments of Symbian smartphones reaching over 200 million to date and consistent year-over-year growth, the commercial opportunity for providing compelling content is clear. We look forward to collaborating further with EA Mobile on bringing many more leading game titles to Symbian smartphones around the globe."

The EA games available for BlackBerry include the new MONOPOLY HERE & NOW, SimCity Societies, Bejeweled, Tetris, EA SPORTS Tiger Woods PGA TOUR 07 and SCRABBLE (the last one only in North America).

Windows Mobile smartphone owners can currently enjoy EA titles like The Sims Bowling, Downtown Texas Hold 'Em, JAMDAT Mini Golf and JAMDAT Mahjong, but there are more games to be released.

Travis Boatman, Vice President of Worldwide Studios for EA Mobile, declared: "With smartphones becoming everyday devices, we are excited to offer the fun, and high quality of EA Mobile games to a growing and important worldwide market. Offering top titles for the most popular smartphones, and our recent announcement that we will develop for the iPhone, reflect our focus and commitment to emerging platforms and markets."
