News from Japan says that, late last week, a team of four drivers managed to drive an electric Suzuki Every van over an impressive 807 miles (1,300 kilometers).

What's more, it appears that the car covered said distance on a single charge.

Clean Technica details that the Suzuki van had been modified to be extremely efficient in terms of energy consumption, and that it successfully completed its epic journey by going in circles on a 15.5 miles (25 kilometers) course in the village of Ogata, in the Akita Prefecture.

The four drivers took turns behind the wheel, and traveled at an average speed of 30 kilometers per hour (18 miles per hour).

Although this piece of information is yet to be confirmed, it looks like this Sukuzi van has managed to set a new world record, i.e. the one for the longest distance covered by an electric vehicle on a single charge.

Folks with the Guinness Book of World Records are expected to soon confirm or deny this rumor.
