This Monday evening, some very lucky people in Hong Kong will get the chance to test a battery-powered bus that the city's high officials hope will be the first of a green fleet designed to help improve on this urban area's ecological footprint.

Sources tell us that the bus was bought in September 2012. Since then, it has undergone several trials.

Over the next four weeks, the vehicle, dubbed the eBus (I know, it's not a very original or imaginative name) will be made to transport passengers along Hong Kong's Route 2.

The city high officials explain that the main goal is to determine how effective the bus is in terms of navigating peak morning and evening traffic.

They ask that the people who get to try out the eBus do not shy away from giving feedback on their experience.
