The handset will be priced at $99 (€74) on a two-year contract agreement

Today, Best Buy has officially revealed that the Electric Blue flavor of the Samsung Galaxy S5 smartphone will become available via its stores starting August 17.

The handset will be released via all Best Buy and Best Buy Mobile stores, with a discounted price tag of $99 (€74), with two-ear contract agreements with AT&T, Verizon Wireless, and Sprint.

The retailer has also announced that the handset will be available at the aforementioned promotional price tag until August 23, and that other special offers will also be available for those interested in purchasing it.

“Or, if customers opt for one of the new monthly installment billing options including AT&T Next, Verizon Edge or Sprint Easy Pay, they can snag the Electric Blue Galaxy S5 for $0 down and receive a $100 Best Buy gift card with their activation,” Best Buy announces.

“With these monthly installment plans, qualified customers can pay $0 down and then pay off their new smartphone over 20-24 months. Installment customers also have the opportunity to get a new phone after 12 months. This pricing will also be extended to all Galaxy S5 colors from Aug. 17-23.”

Moreover, My Best Buy Members will be provided with the possibility to get the new mobile phone first, starting Friday, August 15.

They will be able to purchase the smartphone at the same $99 price tag on a two-year contract, but will also have the option to grab it for $0 down with a $100 Best Buy gift card on a monthly installment billing.

The Electric Blue flavor of Samsung Galaxy S5 arrives on shelves with the same specs and capabilities as the original models did, including a 5.1-inch Super AMOLED touchscreen display capable of delivering a full HD resolution.

Moreover, the mobile phone is powered by a 2.5GHz quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 801 MSM8974AC processor, which is paired with 2GB of RAM, thus capable of delivering appealing performance capabilities.

Moreover, the handset arrives on shelves with a 16-megapixel camera on the back, with a 1/2.6" sensor and support for recording videos in 4K resolution. It was also released with a 2MP front camera for making video calls while on the go.

Samsung Galaxy S5 includes support for 4G LTE networks, Wi-Fi 802.11a/b/g/n/ac and Bluetooth capabilities, a microSD memory card slot with support for up to 128GB of additional storage space, and a 2800mAh battery that can deliver up to 21 hours of talk time or up to 16 days of standby time.

The handset runs under the Android 4.4 KitKat operating system, but Samsung also loaded it with its own set of exclusive applications and features.
