Unfortunately, it's true. As OhGizmo!'s David Ponce says, many companies will use extreme expressions, like "the smallest", "the fastest", "the most powerful", to promote their products. But although for many devices, these are utterly false, in the case of the today's daily gadget, we tend to believe Elecom touting its smallest external hard drive.

Measuring
only 68 x 30 x 13 mm and weighing 44 grams, the MF-DU204G model might be indeed the smallest external hard drive money can buy.

For this device, the Japanese company has used a hard disk of only 0.85 inches (2.15 centimeters) able to store 4GB of information.

Just like other mobile storage solutions, Elecom's product uses for transfer the widespread USB 2.0 standard.

The only drawback of the smallest external hard drive is the incompatibility with the Linux and Apple operating systems, MF-DU204G requiring a Windows environment (98 and up).

The price for this magnetic solution will be around $220, which will include a USB cable extension, eliminating the need to plug the device directly into the computer.

We are just a few, but there are many of you, Softpedia users, out there.
