Following the success of Feint on mobile phones running under Google's Android operating system, OpenFein announced the release of a number of no less than eight new mobile games for handsets based on the platform.

According to the company, the list of new titles includes top hits on Apple's iOS platform, such as Jet Car Stunts, Frogger, Bomberman Dojo, Must. Eat. Birds, and Solipskier.

At the same time, OpenFeint announced that it's game catalog for Android managed to grow pretty fast to over 100 titles, with a number of more than 8 million downloads since launch.

“This is one of the most impressive set of games we’ve helped bring to the Android community,” says Jason Citron, CEO of OpenFeint.

“These games have generated millions of downloads on iOS, so we’re excited to see Android players gobble them up.”

The 8 new games included in the release come from leading developers, such as Konami Digital Entertainment and Hudson.

In addition to announcing the availability of these new Games, OpenFeint also unveiled a series of stats gathered since the official release on Android.

According to them, the company has users in a number of 176 countries on over 143 different devices.

At the same time, the company notes that OpenFeint is popular in North America, Asia and Europe, although users in 6 continents download content from it.

A number of 1.6 million Android devices were seen in the network, with over 8 million game downloads registered since the first launch on this platform.
