Thief 4 was not available to the general public during E3 2013, but the development team at Eidos Montreal has shown the game to a limited number of players, including one of the community managers who is ready to pass on game info to fans.

The game is still in pre-alpha, but the team says that both health and focus for Garrett will be replenished via consumable items that need to be obtained from the game world.

Various elements of the Heads Up Display can be toggled and lock picking can be made significantly easier by using the limited focus that a player has available.

Both a mini-map and full map can be used to plan assault and extraction routes and gamers can get through the entire story by using only stealth mechanics.

Thief 4 will arrive in 2014 on next-gen consoles and the PC.
