Hopefully the game still exists as a project

To be honest, I had no idea somebody was working on a sequel for Carmageddon and it seems that I'm late because the project not only existed, but just got canned, too! Since I am sure not to be the only one who had no idea that a new Carmageddon game was in the works, let me tell you this sad little story and then we can all start praying for a happy end. For us, of course.

It was a few days ago, when the news that Full Auto developers Pseudo Interactive were shut down by Eidos and SCi, but we didn't really care too much (although we were really sorry for the people left without their job), not even when we heard that this closure would affect some unnamed projects. Now, we are absolutely shocked and sad: an anonymous source has told Next-Gen website that Pseudo Interactive was already working on a new Carmageddon game and Eidos canceled it back in February, right before the GDC. Now, let me repeat that: a new Carmageddon game was going to be created by those who brought us Full Auto and Full Auto 2: Battlelines, but Eidos said no. Pretty strange...

We don't actually know whether Eidos was afraid of Fox News, Jack Thompson or other game "lovers" and decided to can a new Carmageddon title or the game under development was really, really poor (which we strongly doubt), but one thing is clear: now that we know somebody wanted to create a new manslaughter game and killing (virtual) cows could be possible with some next-gen graphics, we want it bad. I don't care who does it, as long as it hits the stores very soon. Shame on you, Eidos!
