According to the organization, its EggNots look and feel just like real eggs

Easter will shortly be upon us, and this can only mean one thing: the cruel egg industry is about to make a whale of a profit. Green group PETA is determined not to let this happen, hence it is getting busy advertising so-called EggNots.

For those who don't speak “PETA,” EggNots are basically dyeable ceramic products that, the organization claims, look and feel just like real eggs. Hence, people can successfully use them to replace the latter.

Granted, using EggNots to make an eggs salad or eating them as such is pretty much out of the question, but at least one can sleep at night knowing that nobody can accuse them of supporting an industry that abuses and eventually kills defenseless animals.

As PETA puts it, “Now there's no reason for crafty vegans to miss out on the excitement of Easter egg dyeing! EggNots are the perfect, easy-to-use solution for celebrating the return of spring, without supporting the cruel egg industry.”

According to the organization, other perks that come with using EggNots instead of real ones are the fact that these ceramic egg-wannabes do not need to be refrigerated and the fact that they release no unpleasant odors.

In case anyone was wondering, PETA sells its EggNots for $16.99 (€12.3) a dozen.
