ASUS seems to have some more surprises waiting for those attending this year's Computex computer show, as the Taiwanese company is rumored to be preparing the launch of a new Eee PC 1101HA Seashell netbook. One of the main features of this new Eee PC is that it will provide users with an 11.6-inch LCD and a form factor similar to the company's recently unveiled Eee PC 1008HA Seashell. As it turns out, the new system will be launched as part of another growing Eee PC family, the Seashell series.

The fellows over at Chinese Engadget are on-location at Computex, snooping around for some early details on various products that will be made official in the upcoming days. The Eee PC 1101HA is just one example of a new product waiting to be announced by its manufacturer. As you can see in the picture, the new ultra-portable PC sports a larger 11.6-inch display, taking the netbook concept even further.

Part of the Seashell series, the new portable PC will boast a screen resolution of 1366 by 768 pixels and will be powered by an Intel Atom Z520 or Z530 processor. Aside from the larger screen and lower-power processors, the netbook seems to provide users with pretty much the same technical specifications as most similar machines on the market. This includes 1GB of RAM memory, a 160GB hard drive, three USB 2.0 ports, a multicard reader and a chassis that is noticeably similar to the first Seashell netbook, the Eee PC 1008HA.

Despite no official word on pricing and availability details at this time, the small 11.6-inch netbook is expected to provide its users with up to 11 hours of battery life using one of the two available six-cell battery packs (2200mAh and 2800mAh). The battery life and overall specifications are to be made official later this week, when ASUS will most likely take the wraps off its new pride and joy.
