It looks like ASUS has finally given the green light to its latest Eee products and has begun launching them in Asia. We are talking about the 10-inch display Eee PC 1000h and the only desktop PC in the Eee family, the Eee Box. It is these two products that ASUS has made available for its fans in Singapore.

And to further emphasize the series of launches, there are rumors according to which the manufacturer will continue to release its new product all over Asia. Which is not at all surprising as back on Monday, the Eee Box was announced and launched in Hong Kong, making China the first country to receive ASUS' new Eee product. Singapore has been the second to follow and the launch has also marked the release of the Windows-enabled 10-inch Eee PC.

As most of you already know by now the Eee PC 1000H is ASUS' alternative to the MSI Wind, which also comes as a 10-inch netbook that can run either Windows XP or Linux. With the Eee Box, ASUS has built a desktop alternative to its highly portable Eee PC. Both of these computer systems incorporate an Intel Atom processor, which means that they will probably come in short numbers, wherever they are launched.

The Eee Box is everything you might have expected, namely a sleek looking small-sized desktop computer that can boot and run Windows XP in about 5 seconds (according to ASUS) and is built on the Intel Atom-supporting chipset. It comes with 1GB of memory, 80GB of storage space, WiFi, Card reader and LAN. The system is expected to retail for around $325.

The Eee Box will be offered in four different color options, which means users will get to choose the one that best suits them.
