No one wants to reveal Edward Snowden's location

It appears that no one knows where Edward Snowden is, or at least they don’t want to tell the world about it.

Earlier today, officials from Russia and Ecuador have denied having any information about the whereabouts of Edward Snowden.

Snowden is believed to still be in the airport in Moscow where he landed on Sunday, especially since he didn’t board the plane to Havana, Cuba on Monday.

However, the Russian Foreign Minister said that his country had nothing to do with Snowden’s movements and that he chose his route himself. One important fact is that he didn’t cross the Russian border.

In a similar statement, the Ecuadorian Foreign Minister said that he did not know at the time where Snowden was or where he was headed. Certainly, he wouldn’t have divulged the information even if he was aware of Snowden’s whereabouts.

On the other hand, WikiLeaks officials are said to know the location of Snowden although they were unwilling to share the information. Julian Assange refrained to saying that the NSA whistleblower was safe and healthy.

While Ecuador hasn’t formally announced that the NSA whistleblower was under their asylum, the country’s officials left a lot of clues that that’s the general direction in which things are headed, especially after criticizing the US for the surveillance programs and for persecuting Snowden.

After Snowden fled Hong Kong and landed on the Russian airport, it was revealed that he intended to fly to Cuba as there were two tickets on his name booked for the flight.

Then, he was supposed to board a plane to Venezuela and eventually get to Ecuador, if the country agreed to offer him asylum.

However, the man behind the PRISM leak didn’t board the plane to Havana on Monday or booked a ticket on today’s flight.

Update: Vladimir Putin has announced that Edward Snowden is still in the Moscow airport.
