Following the launch of Ubuntu 12.04.3 LTS, Canonical has released the Edubuntu 12.04.3 LTS operating system, along with Kubuntu, Ubuntu Studio, Mythbuntu, Xubuntu, and Ubuntu Server.

The developers of Edubuntu 12.04.3 have introduced a few new features, including Epoptes, a classroom administration tool that replaces iTalc, a new version of LTSP, a newer KDE version, and Wubi, a tool that allows you to install Edubuntu from within Windows.

Also, Java is no longer included by default, which means that Geogebra and Freemind aren't included by default any longer.

For those wondering, if your Edubuntu 12.04 LTS installation is up-to-date, there's no need to download the ISO images and reinstall the whole distribution.
