Edubuntu may not be as well known as Ubuntu, but it's still an important product from Canonical and has just reached version 11.10, along with Kubuntu, Xubuntu, Lubuntu and Mythbuntu.

Edubuntu 11.10 inherits most of the changes that occur in Ubuntu, but also comes with its own new features and updates, like a new version of LTSP Live, translated in multiple languages, an updated installer featuring translations in over 25 languages, a new version of Gobby, the collaborative text editor (now at version 0.5), and the latest and greatest version of Gbrainy.

Edubuntu 11.10 also has refreshed user interface, now based on Unity and featuring a different icon theme and wallpaper (it still offers access to the familiar Classic GNOME environment through the GNOME fallback mode), and supports OEM installations.
